The Story Behind the Server
Why I Created FTF Hardcore
FTF Owner: XDonutHurtMeX
I was searching for a true hardcore experience—something intense, something meaningful.
I wanted every decision to carry weight and every life to feel earned.
How It Began
One short experience changed the entire idea.
The Search
I wanted survival to feel meaningful.
I was looking for a hardcore server where danger created stories, relationships, and reasons to play carefully.
The Moment
I joined a server—and died.
The experience ended immediately. There was no consequence to overcome, no second chance, and no reason to return.
The Realization
Hardcore should not simply end.
It should leave a mark on the player, the world, and the people involved. So I built my own.
FTF Hardcore was designed to turn death into a story—not a reset screen.
Building the Foundation
Death was only the beginning.
Inspired by survival experiences such as The Long Dark, I introduced afflictions, second chances, revival, and permanent consequences so that every decision matters and every life feels earned.
Death should change the story.
Losing a life should create difficult choices, lasting consequences, and opportunities for redemption—not erase the journey without meaning.
The world should encourage interaction.
The safest strategy should not be hiding underground forever and avoiding every other player.
Protection and danger should coexist.
Total destruction creates pointless loss, while excessive protection removes risk. FTF Hardcore was built to find a more strategic balance.
Valuable items should remain meaningful.
Unlimited protected storage removes the tension of carrying, defending, trading, and risking rare resources.
The Result
So I built something new.
FTF Hardcore is a world where strategy, consequence, identity, and player-created stories matter more than simply surviving another day.
